It looks amazing in red! I would break quite a few laws for the chance to play with one of these.
Once again showing you everything goes good with diesel!
In this installment it goes into more of the racing of diesel. How it can win races because of its fuel economy and how Gale Banks is trying to turn diesel into the “cool” thing. In the end he talks about the basics of do-it-yourself upgrades and how they can be beneficial which I’m sure anyone reading this already knows. Again I wish they wouldn’t mute out all the engine sounds, but it’s still great that such a popular site is doing this series.
Now this is a beautiful diesel. A V12 oil-burning supercar that even Jeremy Clarkson, notoriously impossible to please host of Top Gear, loves (Well he’s only driven the measly 420hp V8 gasser version, but with more horsepower and better economy I’d be surprised if he didn’t like this one too).
This time the series goes into the programming of a high performance diesel engine. I wish there was more shots of the diesel engines running, but I’m just happy when it gets positive mainstream press recognition (I consider 2 million+ unique visitors a month pretty mainstream even if this is more of a counter-culture blog).
I think everyone is starting to realize by now how green and economical diesels can be, but sometimes it’s important to realize they can still be a blast to drive! Check out this footage, made by DHMotorsports, of what happens when you let loose, have fun, and blow a little smoke…errr…steam off. Now if we can just get some more diesel powered cars in America to join in the fun. Or maybe I just need to find an excuse to buy a diesel truck…

This video shows the second test run where they get the beast up to 125mph.
Listen to Lutz spout one negative thing after another on diesel. *sigh* And I was expecting so much from him to help fix GM. I loved the new Camaro, but from what I’ve seen he seems to have never liked diesel from the get go. So their you have it. Tell him what you think on his blog http://fastlane.gmblogs.com.
Sorry for the slow posting I’m working on a lot of upgrades to the site that will be rolled out soon.
