Hello, I’m Erik and welcome to my diesel informational site.

I started this site after I bought my 2002 Volkswagon Jetta TDI, and wanted to learn more about diesel cars and engines. I come from a gasser background and my other car is a 99 Camaro with almost every bolt-on modification you can make from engine to suspension. Soon it got to be too uncomfortable to drive and shift in stop and go traffic for an hour to and from work everyday so I figured it was time to get a comfortable daily driver.

Enter the Jetta.  I specifically was looking for an 02-03 TDI after a couple months of reading tdiclub.com forums.  I never planned to go crazy with this car, but I knew I would modify it a little…….I know there’s something wrong with me but I just can’t leave cars alone.

So far I’ve only gotten larger injectors and chip tuning, but of course now I can’t stop.  I should be getting a larger turbo (VNT17) within about a month, and then another reprogram.  Eventually I’d like to get a 6 speed manual gearbox to swap in because now I miss shifting, and in time, a VNT20 to stuff in there.   I’m selling my camaro because I just have no time for a fun car right now. (and i’ll finish this later back to work)
