Can Nitrous Help a Stock Golf TDI Keep Up with an NSX?

I found this video on TDIClub.com and had to share it with everyone. Fifth Gear takes a bone stock AUTOMATIC diesel Golf and straps on a nitrous kit to see just how effective it can be. The results are pretty incredible.

Big wow. Everyone knows that nitrous, properly installed and tuned, can add big power to any engine.

What they don’t say is where/how they added the extra fuel. Nitrous alone will not produce a power increase.

Sensationalism sells. Hopefully most people tuning their diesels will realize they can’t just strap on a nitrous kit and go fast without blowing their engine.
