I have no idea where this information came from, but it most certianly is false. I am a VW mechanic and I know many others. Not a single VW mechanic that I know or have ever met prefers the EV/T4. Of course the T5 is not available in the US so we cannot speak about it directly. However, the T5 is basically a T4 with some body line changes. So for the record, mechanics DO NOT prefer the T5 over anything. The first line in this article is so far from reality it stunning. Yeah, we don't get the T5 over here so I won't get any personal experience anytime soon wrenching on one of these, but I still wouldn't mind having one if I needed a van.
