Holden will showcase two new turbo diesel powered vehicles and the new mid-size sedan Epica at the 2007 Melbourne International Motor Show, starting tomorrow.

Captiva Diesel will make its Australian debut, powered by a 2.0-litre common rail turbo diesel engine that produces 110 kilowatts of peak power at 4000rpm and 320 Newton metres of peak torque at 2000rpm*.

Oil That Fries Your Burger Can Run Your Car

Not that anyone reading this didn’t already know that, but this was an article in Reuters so it gets the word out to a lot of people. I’m sure there will be a day in the next few years, where when I tell people about running straight or waste vegetable oil I won’t be answered with a “Huh?”, but with an enthusiastic, “Yeah, I’ve heard of that!” Until that day though I will continue to try and do my part to educate the masses.
