Cummins Gets Large Order From the Army

The Army said Tuesday it awarded a $13.7 million delivery order to Cummins Inc. for diesel engines.

The Army gave the order to the engine maker on Friday. Cummins will also provide technical, engineering and other services.

The company will perform the work in Columbus, Ind., through Dec. 31, 2010.

Shares of Cummins dropped 20 cents to close at $139.46 on the New York Stock Exchange.
