The Army said Tuesday it awarded a $13.7 million delivery order to Cummins Inc. for diesel engines.
The Army gave the order to the engine maker on Friday. Cummins will also provide technical, engineering and other services.
The company will perform the work in Columbus, Ind., through Dec. 31, 2010.
Shares of Cummins dropped 20 cents to close at $139.46 on the New York Stock Exchange.
Chrysler Group is reportedly considering diesel-powered minivans for the North American market by 2010, according to Automotive News.
