Hyundai Motor America Chief Operating Officer Steve Wilhite said he hopes to bring diesel to America. They are currently studying and weighing options as no concrete decision has been made.

“I think when we start to see clean, fuel-efficient, high-performance diesel engines in this market, the American public will adopt that very quickly,” Wilhite said Tuesday while attending the Automotive News World Congress in Dearborn.

I’ll stick with my Jetta but it’s always good to see more choices available.
