In a step towards actually being competitive in the European market, Cadillac is going to be offering a diesel option for it’s 2008 CTS. According to Automotive News the engine is being sourced from, VM Motori. The engine will most likely be in the 3 liter range and develop about 250hp.

US readers may be familiar with VM Motori as the Italian engine manufacturer who provided the Jeep Liberty with it’s diesel engine during the short lived Liberty CRD years.
