Like Mercedes, Audi is putting stock in diesel for North America. With that they have unveiled two flavors of the Q7 TDI. For those who just need a nice luxo-SUV with good mileage the 3.0L TDI is for you. However, for those of you who know a vehicle isn’t about just getting from point A to point B, then make sure you add another 6 cylinders after that.
The technology was developed for the R10 sports prototype that pretty much swept every race it entered in in 2006. With the emissions control technology it was one of the cleanest, quietest, and most efficient of the pack.
The Q7 powered by the 3.0L diesel V6 with Bluetec should be in showrooms by the end of 2008. There is no difinitive word on when the V12 version will available.
