The new C-Class, which Mercedes-Benz unveiled a few days ago, will cost between EUR 29,988 and EUR 44,328 ex-factory. The new C 180 KOMPRESSOR entry-level model is therefore just EUR 119 more expensive than the outgoing model, despite a more extensive standard specification and uprated engine. And the prices for the diesel saloons will increase by a modest 1.3 to 1.6 percent. The new C 200 CDI will cost EUR 31,892 ex-factory. The full line-up includes eight four- and six-cylinder models, which deliver up to 13 percent more power and consume up to six percent less fuel than the predecessor.
Compared with the outgoing saloon, the standard specification for the new C Class features even more cutting-edge technology designed to enhance safety and comfort. The specification includes the AGILITY CONTROL package which adjusts the shock absorbers to suit the individual situation, the ADAPTIVE BRAKE system with driver assistance functions, the newly developed THERMATIC 2-zone automatic climate control, a kneebag for the driver, projection-beam headlamps and brake lights that flash rapidly in the event of emergency braking. Six model variants come as standard with light-alloy wheels.

LAS VEGAS – For the 2008 model year, Chevrolet and GMC are introducing an all-new W-Series that delivers more cab room, enhanced safety features and more power. The all-new W-Series also meets new, more stringent 2007 U.S. and state of California diesel emissions standards.
“The success of our W-Series is a direct reflection of its ability to deliver exactly what medium-duty customers demand from their vehicles. As with other recent enhancements, the all-new W-Series was developed with direct input from those who know this vehicle best: our customers,” said Mark Karney, GM Fleet and Commercial Operations (FCO) marketing director for vans and trucks.
