The U.K. Gets Performance Diesel Fuel

Shell LogoThink of this as the super unleaded of diesel fuel.

Shell is launching a new performance diesel fuel in 31 of it’s filling stations in the South East, and countrywide next year. The new performance formula will cost 6p more per liter so if you bought your diesel to put around for fuel efficiency, move to the next pump.

Technip awarded a Diesel Oil Hydrodesulphurization Unit in Poland

Technip has been awarded a contract worth approximately €67 million by PKN ORLEN S.A. for the construction of a new diesel oil hydrodesulphurization (*) unit in its refinery in Plock, in the center of Poland.

Technip’s operations and engineering center in Rome, Italy, will execute the project that includes licence, basic and detail engineering, procurement and supply of equipment and materials, supervision of construction, precommissioning and commissioning, start-up and test runs. Services, materials and equipment supply will be delivered on a lump sum basis; activities at site will be charged on a reimbursable basis.

Chevrolet to Show First Diesel Engine Car in Bologna

GM’s Chevrolet brand will show its first ever diesel-engined car at this year’s Bologna Motor Show (December 7-17) with a diesel-engined variant of the Lacetti model (sold in some markets as the Chevrolet Nubira, Buick Excelle, Chevrolet Optra - and it is still a Daewoo Lacetti in Korea).

Diesel Fuel Shortages Blamed on Low Sulfur in U.S.

Just last week, trucks were lined up, waiting for hours just to get a load of diesel from the pipeline in Clear Lake.

It’s a sight they’ve seen across much of Iowa and Minnesota.

It was just a week ago that these truckers, hauling diesel fuel to pumps across the midwest we waiting in line.
