This is a press release I got from D-C’s site. Made after the CEO’s met with the President. Though not strictly diesel it’s interesting read about the auto industry in general.

Press Release - Auburn Hills, Mich., Nov 14, 2006 - We appreciate the President meeting with us today on issues that we believe are not only critical to the domestic auto industry, but also affect overall American manufacturing competitiveness.

We had a candid and productive discussion on such specific issues as energy security, the affordability and quality of health care, the trade imbalance caused by an artificially weak yen, and the rising costs of vehicle production materials.

Citroen Reveals New Diesel Dispatch

Citroen Dispatch DieselI don’t think it’s going to win any beauty contests, but I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

When it goes on sale in the UK early next year, the Citroen Dispatch will replace a similarly-named model which has been on the go since 1996. If it looks familiar, then you’ve probably already seen our story about the Peugeot Expert, and indeed the Dispatch is to all intents and purposes the same car with a different badge.

Biofuel should be in Billings’ future

A cry for biodiesel help. Another city starting to realize the benefit of running biodiesel.

For the past five years, the Bozeman street department has powered its 30 diesel vehicles with biodiesel. Biodiesel is cheaper for the department than regular diesel, street superintendent John Van Delinder told a Billings audience Friday.

The recently expanded public bus service in Bozeman also is using biodiesel in its leased buses and plans to continue with the more environmentally friendly fuel when it purchases new buses, according to Montana State University information. The system represents a collaboration of MSU and local government.
