In light of the fact that the only news that will probably be happening in the next couple days is going to be all about the switch from low sulphur diesel to ultra-low sulphur diesel, I’m learning more about the add-ons for this blog. Here is the video of the Audi R10 versus the Harrier jet. This is the same Audi that just won the 24hrs of LeMans and the Petit LeMans.

Truckers Avoiding 2007 Diesel Engines
October 12th, 2006
Trucking companies aren’t rushing out to buy new 2007 diesel which require the use of ultra-low sulphur diesel fuel. The biggest reason being the increased cost for the new engines. There is an expected $7,500 up to $10,000 extra for all the new related emissions equipment.
The EPA set Sunday as the deadline for retail fuel stations to make a voluntary switch that will be mandatory by December 1, 2010. The switch isn’t expected to be fast, however.
“We don’t have an exact number of truck-stop operators that are carrying it,” Mindy Long of the National Association of Truck Stop Operators said of ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel. “But there was no incentive to transfer to ultra-low diesel fuel early.”
