Bunge North America, the North American operating arm of global agribusiness company Bunge Limited, and Biodiesel Investment Group have created Biofuels Company of America (BCA), a joint venture that will build a 45-million gallon per year biodiesel plant adjacent to Bunge’s soybean processing facility in Danville, Ill.
Work on the site is already under way with plans for the plant to be operational in the first quarter of 2008.

So now you get awarded for helping your diesel. Awesome.
Congrats to Milagro Biofuels of Memphis for opening a plant making biofuels from soybeans. It’ll be in the uptown area of Memphis, and should produce 5 to 9 million gallons annually.
The product will be added to petroleum based diesel to yield biodiesel. Their mother’s should be happy too, because it looks like they learned to “waste not, want not”. The byproduct of biodiesel production is glycerin, and that will be sold to industrial customers.
As I and many others like to stress
Officials say biodiesel burns cleaner, reduces the need for imported oil and is a boon to farmers.
So support your local biodiesel pump.
